Euclidean beat generator redux

After developing my euclidean beat generator for use in my Journey through a burning brain exhibit and reading some of the feedback from other users, I have developed some new features. This version is fully pattrstorage compatible allowing interpolation between beat presets. This came out of a conversation I had with a user I met on the max forums who had put the patch to use with his own genetic algorithms using brain waves as a fitness test. I was pretty impressed with what he’d done and was delighted to see a photo of his patch on David Zicarelli’s look back at expo ’74.

Future versions will include less buggy gui recall and the ability to specify simple strings to the js object that program the sequences.

This is an awesome patch, I’ve used it before with Max 5 but i think it is giving me issues with Max 7. Is there anything I need to set up or do in terms of locating the files?

I get an error in the Max Console upon launch which reads:

js: euclid: Javascript TypeError: step_boxes[i] is undefined, line 218
js: error calling function setvalueof [euclid]
js: euclidean rhythm generator 1.01 – robin price 2009

The patch then seems to run somewhat haphazardly – the rhythm seems somewhat off.

I haven’t tested in max 7 but will do. Sorry I keep meaning to come back and do a 7 / m4l update but haven’t had time. Put it this way, it’s on the list.

Just wanted to say thanks for making this tool. Had a lot of fun jamming with it today:

P.S.: I’m using max 7, and while I do get the same error messages as Gian Pablo (and i can’t say for sure whether it’s working as intended), i still like
what i can do with it for my purposes.
